COMPLIANCE

The list of products identified below are considered to be Halal Compliance:

• Milk source should be from cow, goat and sheep.

• All Legumes & Nuts [peanuts, cashews etc.]

• Fresh or Naturally Frozen Vegetables

• Grains [wheat, barley, rice, rye, oats, etc.]

• Fresh or Dried Fruits

• Honey

• Fish

• Water from some products to be considered Halal, especially ones derived from meat, they must be from an acceptable source such as a cow or chicken and slaughtered according to these laws. The process of Halal slaughter is defined as zabihah and there are certain rules that must be adhered to:

  1.  Allah's/God’s name must be said during the slaughter process.
  2.  The  instrument/blade must be extremely sharp to ensure humane slaughter and  the  animal must be slit at the throat.
  3.  The animal should never witness the blade being sharpened or another animal  being slaughtered.
  4.  The animal must be alive at the time of slaughter.
  5.  The animal must be hung upside down and allowed to bleed dry.
  6.  Blood consumption is Haram (not permissible) because it is path of many diseases  and carriers  germs.  
  7.  The animal must have been fed a natural diet that shouldn't contain animal bi  products.
